The kitchen crew is responsible for everything from preparing to serving and cleaning up for the physical nourishment of the pilgrims.  This is not only a great & fun way to serve but allows the pilgrims to focus on the important stuff….their spiritual nourishment!!!

 

Agape

Agapι is just one way for the Emmaus Community to express love and support during an Emmaus Walk. Remember the numbers! 60 for meals, 39 minimum for bedtime (based on 35 pilgrims and 4 team members sleeping with the pilgrims.)

Prayer Vigil

A 72-hour prayer vigil takes place throughout the weekend as the pilgrims explore their relationship with Christ. Time slots are available in one-hour increments throughout the day and night.

Logistics encompasses everything from setting up the conference and sleeping rooms on Thursday of Walk week to returning the church to its normal state following the Walk and every logistics task in between. There are always opportunities for willing servants and instructions & help if you are new.

 

Social

Social is responsible for the welcome buffet on the Thursday evening of a Walk, the ice cream party on Saturday, and kitchen preparations/clean-up after closings & gatherings.


You can sign up as a willing servant one of two ways!!!

1)     Attend a monthly gathering where the sign up sheets are available

2)     Send e-mail** to communication@new-arkemmaus.org
